The sales of Nissan for the month of August may be down 27 percent, but overall the Nissan sales for the year is on the rise. The total 2010 sales for Nissan is up by 14.2 percent according to the latest reports. So what are the segments that suffered and won for Nissan this month? The sales for trucks and cross overs is up, and also sales for Inifiniti has made inroads for the month of August compared to the same month last year. Of all Nissan cars, it was Nissan Altima as the best-selling Nissan car with more than 18,000 units sold for the  month of August. And mind you, only 90 Nissan GT-R were sold for the month of August. But don’t fret too much since last August 2009 only 100 of these sweet things were sold as well. This goes to show that the Nissan GT-R is one special member of the Nissan family. For trucks, the Nissan truck best seller is the Nissan Rouge.

But what is more interesting is the next match up, its between the number one seed player, Caroline Wozniacki and Maria Sharapova. I love them both, love their beauty and of course their games. So may the best girl wins! I think the winner between the two will eventually take the crown. What do you think?

So these are the things that can be expected from the new Nissan GT-R 2012. This early, auto blogs and the fans of the Nissan GT-R 2012 are all abuzz with the  latest toy from Nissan. According to some of these rumors, the new GT-R 2012 can get as much as 530 horsepower from the old 480 horsepower on the existing Nissan GT-Rs. Aside from the boost in power, we can expect a number of modifications on the sports car as reported by many sites. For example, it has been said that the new version of the sports car will have a revised front fascia and a rear diffuser. The enthusiasts can also crave for the new design of the 20-inch forged aluminum Rays wheels. In short, there will be a more refreshed Nissan GT-R 2012 in store for the enthusiasts.

By the way, Tipsarevic is the same tennis guy with that cool Dostoyevksy tattoo, ‘ Beauty will save the world’. And its amazing that the news stories point to the defeat of Roddick and not on the win of Tipsarevic. It seems that the writers can’t seem to get over the fact that Roddick is done winning a slam (he just won one slam).

Hope Janko Tipsarevic can progress to the latter rounds of the US Open. And more importantly, I am looking forward to Rafa Nadal winning it all.

Nissan is serious in getting green. One testament to this is the delivery of the Nissan Leaf, where ‘Leaf’ stands for Leading, Environmentally friendly Affordable, Family car. Indeed, this is what Nissan wants to accomplish with this new product in the market. This new vehicle is designed to be a compact 5-door hatchback electric car, and best designed for city driving. Consumers and those green minded would be happy to welcome this latest addition to the green fleet in the United States market. At first there was the Toyota Prius then the Volt was introduced. And now is the time of Nissan to shine with its Nissan Leaf. As of this writing, the entry of the Leaf is being widely discussed and anticipated. In fact, the state of California has welcomed the Nissan Leaf with the approval of the SB 535, a new law that will extends the hybrid and alternative-fuel vehicles’ usage of the High Occupancy Vehicle lanes in California. Now this certainly includes your Nissan Leaf. Right now, consumers in the US can expect that their Nissan Leaf vehicles will be shipped by the end of the year. And in some countries, it is expected that in 2011 the Leaf will be available.

And what do we have here in the men section. It’s Berdych losing to Llodra! Now this is an upset, and effectively clearing one hurdle for Roger Federer. As you can remember, it was Berdych who spoiled the Wimbledon drama of Federer, the once and will never be grandslam champ (joke).

Here’s one truck that I would like to have, if only I can afford it. This one is a workhorse and can be depended upon on the rough roads. It’s the Chevy Silverado. I remembered the Silverado  since I wrote extensively on trucks and pick-ups during my first year of stint with freelance writing. My client has a client that wanted articles on all vehicles- Chevy vehicles included. I enjoyed the writing since I do have a background with cars and car parts thanks to my former job. But the pay of my client was ridiculously low! Anyway, it was a good learning experience. And the project of hers allowed me once again to reconnect with my old job.

Now some writers are still looking at Andy Roddick. Roddick who? He is no longer a contender, period. And if ever the two will meet in the US Open finals, then Rafa Nadal will win that match.

My cable got cut off. So what does this mean for me? I’m no TV person but there are some nights when I need to watch something before I go to sleep. With nothing on TV (I hate to waste my new flat TV ahem), I decided to check out the DVD stores in the city. I checked out some movie titles and settled on series. I love the series more than the movies, and the last two series that I truly adored were Smallville and Prison Break. And I was on the lookout for another title that I can devour during idle nights and something that can arouse my senses. There’s one title that caught my attention, it was The Vampire Diaries. I asked for the first season and immediately went home. The first episode was so-so. Same thing the next episode. I initially said that the series doesn’t excite me the way Smallville and Prison Break did. I said to myself that I’ve seen this before- same storylines- same boring vampire stories-same persona and look for vampires. But as I progressed from one episode to the next, I learned to love the series. I think I’m addicted to it, the way Vicki was addicted to blood or the way Damon can’t resist doing something inhuman. So expect to read a number of posts about The Vampire Diaries. This is my series of the moment. And by the way, I love the witty lines used especially when Stefan and Elena write on their diaries. Now, I must end it here and I’ll continue the series later. For now, I will write and wait for projects while Justin Bieber sings ‘Never Say Never’.
